Trivia NightOur second annual Trivia Night will be held on Saturday the 17th July. Get a table of 8 together and be part of the fun. For full details:Mark C tackle Mt BlanceHi there Judy, just a note to let you know, I managed to finish the Mt Blanc Marathon, it took me 7 hrs and was the most gruelling course I've ever come across, was talking to a guy after the race who said - "the course must have been designed by a sadist!" - I tend to agree with him.
I couldn't believe the 37km mark - while my camel back was being replenished - I was directed towards the refreshment table where I had a selection of 3 meats, cheeses, an assortment of breads + the usual bananas, oranges, etc, the race finishes up a near 300m vertical hill - just what you want to see nearing the finish line, but the experience was great, the shoes were perfect - I did manage to run through some snow, got some photos, so will get them on website when I get back,
Good luck at the Gold Coast (hope you better 7 hrs !), stay well. G'day Red Man Runners,
I'm currently in Kiruna (nth Sweden) insidé the Artic circle with 24hrs of sunshine each day and Reindeers romaing around but I'm thinking of you guys. Well, at least for a few minutes. I hope you all have a fantastic day on Sunday - come what may- I've checked the weather and it looks great. Though a little warm, particularly at the start. Remember to drink from early on. I look forward to reading the reports and seeing all of the pics. Remember that looking good is important too. Very important! I had a great run into Fulham last Saturday. Coming home I got horribly lost and ended up back at Putney. Not sure how many k's I ended up doing. Missed you all during the run. Could have done with Mel to tell me where to go............When it gets tough let me do a couple of k's for you on Sunday. Good luck, Alan B.
