And what a day the Gold Coast turned on. Cool, light breeze and not a cloud 
    in the sky. If you have not watched a marathon or half marathon you simply 
    must.Humbling and slightly terrifying is the only way to describe it. To 
    watch so many people put in so much effort and hurt so much makes you question 
    why you would want do it again yourself. Those still out on the road at 2hrs 
    and 30mins in the half or beyond 5 hrs in the marathon just hurt for longer. 
    The pain is no less.
          The Red Man Runners were once again magnificent. Dave Mc finally went 
    under the 4hr barrier, Paul and Mark went sub 1.30 in the half, Lew and Mary 
    sub 2hrs, Carol.K 2:22, Karyn.L 1:42 (with a cold),Peter W made 4 hrs 11 min
    look like a walk in the park for the marathon and Dave Y only months after 
    open-heart surgery ran 51 mins for the 10kms. 
    They were all highlights!
