                                                          TEXT DESCRIPTION OF LONG-RUN COURSE

26 Kms                 -                   Fairfield Rd, Uni Loop, Annerley Rd.

Leave RedMan in a Westerly direction through South Bank Parklands with the river and the city to your right. At approximately         1.75kms you will pass underneath the Victoria Bridge. Veer left under the bridge and follow the wooden spiral ramp up and         onto the Western footpath across the bridge. Cross the bridge and turn immediately left down the footpath leading under the         motorway and back along the bikeway at river level. Turn right at the river and head West again. Hard to get lost for a while now         as you just continue to follow the path all the way out to the Regatta Hotel which will be on your right at about 5.3kms.

Nothing too dramatic happens here. You continue to follow the path but it does ease away from the river and you climb slightly         up past the Toowong shops on your right. Stay with the left hand footpath and the main road as it becomes Brisbane St. Pass         the Bus Stop shelter and down the slope. Coming up on your right is a Service Station and on your left Sir Fred Schonell Dr         Turn left and follow Sir Fred Schonell Drv all the way to the Uni. At the second roundabout there is an athletics track to your left.         Under the grand-stand you will find toilets and taps. Cross the athletics track and veer left till you reach the gravel path running         along beside the river. Follow the path all the way around the Uni grounds passing under the Green Bridge. Climbing a slight rise         you will come to the crossing with Upland Rd. Turn left in Upland and follow it around to the golf course. The road changes         names to The Esplanade and Hillside Tce then Carawa St. Just past the golf club house you meet a round-about. Veer left and         cross the road into a small park with a toilet block and external tap. This is normally a drink and GU stop for this run.         Follow the path past the toilets over a tiny bridge and veer right along Lambert Rd. Stay with the right footpath up through the         roundabout and all the way to the train-line. It looks like a dead-end but there is a bike path to the left which will take you over         the Indooroopilly Bridge.

Off the bridge turn first left on Rosebery Terrace keeping the park to your right. There is a tap about 200mts along the park.         Turn first right into Luxford St, first left into Queenscroft St. Soon you are on the river! Turn right and just run with the river on         your left. A beautiful run and views of houses you can't afford. The Street names change but just keep the river to your left until         eventually you come into a park on your left with a toilet and tap. Graceville Avenue has merged to your right and will         now lead you onto a car bridge across a creek. The river is 50mts to your left and crossing the creek will be your last chance to         glimpse the river.

You are now on King Arthur Terrace heading for Tennison. Road has a nasty camber so stick with the footpath. Continue on         till you are forced to veer right at the site of the new Tennis Centre. Up over the train line follow the main round around to the left         on Tennyson Memorial Avenue. Stay on the right side all the way along past the golf course on your right. This is a busy Rd         with many trucks. Be careful as you cross to the left side after the golf course and head up and over the train line to your left to         join Fairfield Rd. Jump the guard-rail on your left to join the footpath.

Now it's easy! Stay on the left side of Fairfield Rd. About 1km along here there is a Service Station on your left with an external         tap. For the next 2.5kms you just follow this road. Eventually, at the top of a pretty tough climb you are forced  by a cemetery to         veer right. 50mts on you meet a major Rd. Annerley Rd. Turn left onto it. About 300mts further up the slope at the next set of         traffic lights there is a park across on the right. Cross into the park and you will find a tap near the shelter. Head out of the park         down the hill back towards the city. That is down Annerley Rd. Great warm down run down the hill. Eventually you come to a T         intersection with another main rd known as Stanley St where you'll turn  left. Cross to the right side of Stanley St and at the lights        at the main intersection with Vulture St veer right into the small Dock St. Just about there. Follow this road aroud the bend and        you can almost see the Red Man. Run back down onto the river path heading East and there he is! 26.5kms Great Effort.
